Friday Night Lights

I have been so bad about getting on here and writing lately. My life has been hectic as things are starting to pick up for the holidays. Our ebay business is booming, which is good, but keeps me running to the post office and UPS every day.

The kids have been great. A little under the weather with colds, but it's to be expected this time of year.

Last Friday, we took the kids to a high school football game. Jon used to coach the Sykesville Raiders many years ago. He started with a group of kids when they were five and stopped when we moved because it was just too far for him to go to coach. I think the kids were 12 or 13 when he stopped coaching. Anyway, as we all know, time flies and these kids are now juniors and seniors in high school. Most of them play for the same school and they were in a play-off game and we thought it would be neat to go see them.

The kids were so excited as we were getting ready. Kannon wanted to wear his Raven's jersey. I think he thought he was going to play football and didn't fully understand the concept of what we were doing. As I put layer upon layer of shirts on them, they kept asking questions. Mostly about why I was putting so many shirts on them.

When we got to the school, the boys were jumping out of their seats. We were meeting Justin, Mindy, Grandma and Grampa there and they couldn't wait to see them. We arrived a little bit before the rest of the gang so we got our seats and the kids were in awe, watching the teams on the field warm up. Magnum started jumping around, imitating what the guys were doing and Kannon was asking a million questions.

The kids were ecstatic to see Uncle Eesh Eesh and Aunt Didi. We finally got settled in and the game starts. The boys had huge smiles on their faces as they were watching the game. The best part for me was watching Magnum. As the crowd would cheer and clap, I would look over and Magnum would clap every time. It was just too cute.

As we were driving home, Jon and I were talking to the kids about the football game and Kannon asked, " Can we go again tomorrow?" I think that means he liked it.
